Initial Post, Purpose & Credentials

To date, I've never been a blogger, Tweeter, or even Facebook status updater, but I decided that I should start to expand my horizons and give this a shot. If nothing else, it makes good, constructive use of my time. I've lived in Newnan all of my life, shy of 4 & 1/2 incredible years in Athens at the University of Georgia*, & I've been practicing real estate in Newnan since January 2008. While at UGA, I realized I wanted to practice real estate on some level, so I got my license while still in school, but kept it inactive until graduating. During my final summer of college, I had a great internship at Coweta Realty in Newnan, owned & brokered by Bob Blackburn. I graduated from UGA in December '07 & earned a double bachelors degree in both Housing & Consumer Economics. Those are just some of my credentials that are relevant to this blog, so that you can feel slightly more justified in trusting the information that I put out here.

My purpose of this blog is to post factual information on the Newnan-Coweta Real Estate market, vent opinions on current issues related to or affecting the market, and provide another platform to market/show off my listings. Once I get this going, I'm going to start a blog for the Atlanta market, where I also work fairly regularly, but that's a little farther down the road. I also welcome feedback and criticism, so please don't hold back.
